Woodland Park Zoo in Seattle 2/10/2014

This is not a zoo bird as far as I know.
It was just hanging with the penguins.

You can feed the penguins at Woodland Park
four fish for five dollars (while fish supplies last)
11:00am - 2:00pm -- November - April
I didn't get to it this trip but I have 2 1/2 more months.

Here's that bird again.

I felt pretty voyeuristic photographing the following primates
sleeping, grooming, contemplating. Most people
would think it was an invasion of privacy to photograph
their heavy hairy uncles asleep on the couch. And that
is basically what I did here. After all I am just an upright
primate with fingers that can take a picture and type a blog.

This is a mother giraffe with a child at her feet
keeping dry inside a barn.
